BBQ Glazed Tempeh

Slice the tempeh crosswise into ½-inch thick strips.

Place each strip on its side and slice it in half lengthwise to make it thinner.

Steam the tempeh for 10 minutes (optional).

Cook the tempeh in a bit of oil for 3 ½ to 4 ½ minutes.

Brush the top sides with some oil or with cooking spray.

Flip each piece and cook on the second side for 2 ½ to 4 more minutes.

Transfer to a paper towel lined surface.

Add all the ingredients for the BBQ sauce together in a bowl.

Stir until well-combined.

Pour the BBQ sauce into a pan over medium-low heat. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.

Add the tempeh back to the pan, and coat the tempeh in the sauce.

Serve and enjoy!
