Ingredients

Start by sautéing the onions for five minutes in a dutch oven.

Add the garlic, ginger, and jalapeño peppers. Cook for 2 minutes.

Add in the tomato paste, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, cloves, kosher salt, and black pepper. Stir for 2 minutes.

Pour in the vegetable broth or water.

Add in:

sweet potatoes

thyme

peanut butter

crushed tomatoes

Bring to a boil, then maintain a rapid simmer for 25 minutes.

Add the chopped kale and simmer for 3-5 minutes.

Stir in the cilantro.

And some lemon juice.

Serve plain, or on top your favorite grain.
