Update: I just relaunched my Meal Plans service! Start your 7-day free trial here!

Over the past few years, I’ve been on a mission to figure out what your biggest cooking challenges are.

I’ve pored over surveys, polls, and your heartfelt messages to uncover the biggest obstacles holding you back from being the home cook you want to be.

And guess what? It turns out your biggest challenge isn’t following a recipe.

It’s all of the other stuff that goes into getting a delicious meal on the table:

  • Sifting through a sea of food blogs, YouTube videos, cookbooks, and Pinterest pages to decide what to cook during the week;
  • Crafting an organized shopping list that prevents those aimless grocery store wanderings and impulse purchases;
  • Figuring out what you can prep in advance to prevent your weekday evenings from becoming a stressful cooking marathon;
  • Actually sticking to your cooking plan so you don’t default to takeout or frozen pizzas.

Who has the time (and energy) for all that?

The solution you’ve been waiting for

That’s why I am thrilled to introduce the brand new Meal Plans by Rainbow Plant Life website.

Designed for busy people who value both flavor and eating a wholesome, plant-rich diet, this tool eliminates all the friction points that make home cooking a chore rather than a joy.

Instead of juggling tabs, losing track of recipes, or rewriting grocery lists every week, you finally have one home where everything lives, works together, and actually makes your life easier.

All the planning done for you

When you log into our new website, you won’t be staring at a blank calendar wondering where to start.

Instead, you’ll find thoughtfully curated weekly meal plans, each one carefully designed with real life in mind. These plans balance ease, nutrition, flavor, and variety, so you can simply follow along and know you’re set for the week.

You’ll see options like:

  • Seasonal menus built around fresh produce and plant-based staples
  • Easy Weeknight Meal Plans for busy schedules
  • High Protein Meal Plans to fuel your active lifestyle

Just pick a plan, and you immediately have a roadmap for the week.

A meal plan that adapts to your real life

No two households cook the same, so why should your meal plan be one-size-fits-all?

With Meal Plans 2.0, you can easily adjust serving sizes, swap recipes in and out, and choose meals that fit your tastes, dietary preferences, and schedule. Whether you’re feeding one person or a family of six, the plan scales with you.

And if you want to build out a whole week of delicious meals, you can now add standalone recipes to your meal plan, including our new exclusive breakfast recipes.

A grocery list that builds itself

No more typing out ingredients or scribbling half-legible notes. As you build or edit your weekly menu, your grocery list updates instantly.

You can remove items you already have on hand, add extra things you need, and walk into the store with a clear, organized list so you get in, get out, and actually stick to your budget.

A smarter way to prep ahead

Each week’s plan highlights what to make in advance so weeknights stay calm and manageable. A little bit of thoughtfully designed prep sets you up for nights that feel smoother, less chaotic, and even fun.

Use it wherever you cook, shop, or plan

Whether you’re planning on your laptop, cooking with a tablet on the counter, checking your grocery list on your phone, or printing everything out, Meal Plans by Rainbow Plant Life goes wherever you do.

Everything in these meal plans is crafted to make your life easier and more delicious, and to even save you money.

How do I get started?

The site is now live! To try it out free for seven days, sign up here.

How is this different from your past meal plans?

We previously offered Rainbow Plant Life Meal Plans as a PDF subscription, and it was a massive hit. Thousands of readers told me it helped them stay organized, eat better, and finally feel confident about dinner time. People loved having a plan to follow, clear grocery lists, and reliable recipes all in one place.

Now, Meal Plans 2.0 takes everything you loved and makes it even better.

Instead of static PDFs, you have a dynamic website where you can plan out your entire week.

The website features 65+ curated meal plans with new plans added every month, flexible customization, automatic grocery lists, and easier access anywhere you cook.

A quick note of reassurance

Just because I’m offering this new service, it doesn’t mean the Rainbow Plant Life you know and love is going anywhere. I’ll continue to share free recipes through my blog posts and YouTube videos.

And thank you for being a vital part of the Rainbow Plant Life community. I can’t wait for you to experience the future of hassle-free, delicious, and wholesome vegan cooking.

    Hi Nisha!
I just signed up yesterday and received an email saying I’m on the waitlist. Not sure what the next steps are, since you mentioned the launch has already happened. A bit confused here. I’d greatly appreciate your response on what to look forward to next. Thank you for all your recipes and how much hard work has gone into creating this!

How much it is after the free trial?

Will it integrate with already established grocery lists? There are plenty of things that won’t fit on this meal plan (my son’s meal bars, toilet paper, tortilla chips, etc) and I love using AnyList for grocery lists already as it syncs across all our devices amongst the adults, as well as with Siri for quick adds.

    1. Maxwell @ Rainbow Plant Life says:

We’ve made it very easy to copy the grocery list from within the meal plans site and paste it anywhere (your notes app, google docs, AnyList, etc) because we know a lot of people would find it useful.

Additionally, you can also modify the grocery list within the meal plans site to add other grocery items (like energy bars) or household goods (like toilet paper).

Definitely make sure to try both options out during your trial and shoot us an email with your questions or feedback!

I am so ready for this meal plan? Did you mention a start date. I may have missed it.
When a new week comes out will the previous weeks menus disappear or will it be there for use in another week?

    1. Maxwell @ Rainbow Plant Life says:

Hi Donna — the site goes live tomorrow, January 1!

As to your other question, you get to control your schedule with the meal plans. So if you’re not ready to switch to another meal plan, you can keep cooking from whichever plan you’ve currently selected.

  5. Thea says:

So far I love the meal plan! The recipes are well thought through, easy to make and incredibly delicious. And I love that I get to try new recipes each week.
There is one area that could do with improvement though: the portion sizes. Most of the time the recipes are only enough for three meals, not four. Also on several occasions sauces I prepared were not enough, so I had to make some more whilst cooking the dishes, which was a bit stressful.
If this coud be improved, everything would be perfect!

    1. Kaitlin @ Rainbow Plant Life says:

      Hi Thea,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. This new service is in its infancy, and we are always looking for ways that we can improve it going forward.

We have noted down your feedback and will definitely discuss it internally as we meet to improve the product. We hope you are still able to enjoy the meal plans. If you have any other feedback or questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to mealplans@rainbowplantlife.com.

Good morning! We signed up for your meal plan subscription and made all three meals and the salad for week one. All of the meals were ah-mazing, loved by kids and adults alike (and we’re not vegan or even vegetarian). Your dishes are just so bright and full of flavor Just wondering when the week two plan will come out? We’re ready:)

    1. Nisha says:

Hi Ashlei, I am so happy to hear that you and the fam loved the meals and that you’re excited about the service.

To clarify things, you’re still in your 7-day trial period. During the trial, we send the first meal plan right away because we want to make sure you have a full week to use it. After the trial ends, you’ll start to receive a new meal plan every Thursday at 10 am Eastern Time.
