My husband is from USA, but I was raised elsewhere. For months I looked for vegan dishes that would remind him of family traditions and growing up in the Midwest. My most favorite recipe is also quite simple: the Spinach Artichoke Vegan Dip (Outrageously Good indeed!). My husband loves it, and it is something we can enjoy while watching sports. Definitely something that brings us closer together (which is the beauty of food anyway, right?!?). Thank you!

Red Lentil “Bollo” – if I have to just pick one (based solely on frequency made). So many great choices that this was very hard!

Well, I was going to say your Red Lentil Curry recipe was my favorite, but I haven’t tried the vegan banana bread yet… I’ll have to give that a try this winter as well… How exciting to be in the running for a NYT recipe subscription!

Lemony Chickpea Soup is one of my favorite RPL recipes. It’s easy to make, and has a hearty flavor that warms my bones. I try to have a potful of soup in the refrigerator at all times. My hubby and I eat this savory soup for breakfast. It’s a great alternative to oatmeal. I feel nice and full for a long time after eating Lemony Chickpea Soup so it also helps me with weight maintenance. No snacking for this gal after a bowlful of this luscious dish.

My favorite recipe from RPL is the Tofu Tikka Masala.

Nisha, choosing just one fave recipe from RPL is like asking me to choose a favorite child. It hurts me and the other recipes, lol.

If I have to limit it to just one though…the recipe that makes the most frequent appearance around here is the Lentil Bolognese. My meat loving family can’t believe that it is vegan and a big pot of it is gone in a blink. This fave child gets alllll the attention when it makes an appearance. Thanks for all the work that you do to craft spectacular recipes that we are crazy for!

Love the lentil soup. Thanks so much for sharing your recipes. ❤️

I LOVE your tofu scramble. It is heads and shoulders above any other recipe I’ve tried. Love the creaminess, and the black salt gives it a wonderful eggy taste. Sometimes I’ll lightly stew (or just nuke) some cherry tomatoes and add them on top. I’ve been converting every vegan I know to use this recipe instead of their old standby.
